I’ll be the initial in my family members to earn a college degree, and that’s something I hold extremely close to my heart.
My family members and I relocated to the United States in 2014 We chose Memphis as our second home to start fresh and develop a better future.
When I graduated senior high school in 2020, I determined to join the Military Book so I might function full time to aid sustain my household monetarily. Along the road, my moms and dads constantly reminded me of the value of a college level. Honestly, I struggled with the choice between choosing job over school.
That transformed when I uncovered the University of Memphis Global (UofM Global) where I could make my degree 100 % online from an approved, nationally recognized Carnegie R 1 college. The adaptability of the program made it feasible to balance work, life, and education and learning. Once I registered, I understood I made the ideal choice.
As an on the internet pupil, I remained entailed with university life through profession fairs and joining student organizations like the Society of Personnel Management. I intended to obtain the most out of my university experience and connect with individuals that shared my enthusiasm for human resources.
Last November, I released to Kuwait, with a month left of fall semester. Thanks to the assistance and framework of UofM Global, I was able to end up strong, even making the Dean’s Checklist. I’m taking 4 classes while serving on active duty, and I’m pleased to claim I’ll be graduating in May.
Being able to offer my nation, sustain my family members, and gain my degree indicates the world to me. I really feel prepared to take on whatever follows.
